About the Financial Services Product Organization: The Financial Services Product organization will oversee product strategy and development of our Financial services products which includes Consumer Credit Cards, Merchant Credit cards, Consumer Credit offerings like Buy Now Pay later, Merchant credit products like Working Capital and term loans and our Debit family of products which include Consumer & Merchant Debit card, Balance and Savings accounts. This individual will lead the Product organization and partner with Engineering, Commercial, Design, Finance and boarder organization to build the long term vision, roadmap and execution against these deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement product strategies that align to PayPal and the Financial services organization’s strategic objectives and ensure a cohesive and comprehensive vision across for financial services products.

Product Development Lifecycle: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch including research, design, development, and iteration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with external partners (banks, bureaus, networks) and other external 3rd parties (Data, Identity and Platforms) as well as our internal teams like commercial, marketing, customer service, legal, risk, compliance and technology teams to ensure product success. Facilitate communication and alignment across departments.

Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and execution of enterprise-level strategic planning processes, aligning projects and program roadmaps with the organization’s overarching vision and OKR’s. Ensure that all initiatives are strategically positioned to maximize their contribution to the company’s long-term success.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Product Leaders. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a diverse team of Product Leaders across different geographies, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Participate in personal performance management and development activities including cross-training.

  • Challenge traditional products and experienced and build the next generation of lending products and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering or a related field
  • Experienced product manager with a minimum of 20 years of product experience preferably in Credit Cards, Debit cards, Merchant Lending, Checking & Savings products, Financial products and/or other heavily regulated industries
  • Experience working in global markets is a plus
  • 15 years of experience managing teams of product managers/leaders.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of functions ranging from business experts to developers.
  • Strong understanding of business KPI’s and the ability to drive them.
  • Experience in an agile development environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
