Job Description Summary: Sr. Director of Engineering Marketing Technology (MarTech) Job Description: The Senior Director of Marketing Technology will lead the development of products that aid customer growth, business expansion and automation. You and your team will arm the consumer, product, and merchant Marketing team (as well as sales and other teams alike) with technologies that personalize, optimize, and automate their experiences for inbound and outbound customer and merchant communications and marketing strategies. This leader will need extensive familiarity with best-in-class off-the-shelf marketing technology platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform (or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and have full stack experience building marketing data capabilities such unified enterprise customer views, real time hyper personalization and segmentation. In this role, the leader will be required to work closely with Marketing, Technology and Product leadership to align on a long-term vision and strategy, drive prioritization of resources and support the effective implementation and scale of new marketing capabilities to support PayPal’s profitable growth strategies. Responsibilities: Lead through experience and influence to create vision, drive prioritization and implementation of business outcomes. Deliver integrated marketing and customer communication ecosystem of technology and to serve as the foundation across the dimensions of data, decisioning and delivery. Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, analytics, data science, product management, program, architecture, Product teams) to drive alignment to marketing strategy outcomes, priorities and to facilitate decision making and resolution of issues. Set a vision for the future mature the ways of working and marketing execution strategies, b leveraging the new capabilities implemented and lead the change management efforts needed within the broader marketing and consumer and merchant organizations at large. Build, coach and lead team of Engineers, Analysts, and influence peer technology and product teams through the implementation of Marketing Data and Technology eco-system. Drive innovation by identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices. Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders to communicate vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact. Evangelize roadmaps and build strong relationships with key stakeholders that will allow team to understand gaps and prioritize right solutions. Optimizing technology investment through clear tradeoffs between time-to-market and long-term solutions Requirements: Deep expertise in designing and building realtime Customer Data Platforms, audience Segmentation and Personalization Platforms at scale. Expertise building and scaling campaign management platforms to manage omni-channel customer journeys. 10 years of experience in leading large scale marketing technology platform transformations and enterprise implementations, 8 years previous experience leading and executing large scale enterprise initiatives leveraging the Adobe suite of marketing products including AEP, CJA, RTCDP, Audience Manager, Target, and Adobe Journey Optimizer. This include partnering with LOB stakeholders to build and execute multiyear business and technology transformation initiatives. Expertise building and deploying of solutions that drive high value return on marketing investment, driving profitable growth for PayPal consumers and merchants worldwide. Experience leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud products to orchestrate and execute marketing campaigns a plus. 10 years of marketing technology / marketing operations / digital marketing/ ad-tech experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in defining OKRs, measuring KPIs, and bringing clarity of execution to stakeholders Exceptional business and technical acumen and ability to make data-driven decision to drive measurement impact. Demonstrated leadership and ability to practice strong ownership, drive change in a large, matrixed organization. Fearless leader able to constructively advance opinionated perspective, well-informed by industry and customer analysis, to all levels of organization. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Education & Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related fields 10 years in technology senior leadership role What we offer?
