We are seeking a talented Lead Product Manager passionate about helping tell the Integration story that helps merchants build the best payment experiences. Meet the team The Merchant Integrations team is responsible for enabling merchants to offer various payment choices to their buyers at checkout. We design products keeping in mind the needs of merchants and their developers and offer the best and simplest integration possible.

You will work with the Developer Experience, Global Professional Services, Sales and Integration Product to define and deliver world-class experiences for merchants globally.

Your Day to Day

In this role you will,

  • Tell the Integration Story - Build documentation / playbook that ties together multiple APIs and SDKs in a way that presents a cohesive story to the merchants/developers to help them build better checkout experiences aligned with PayPal UX best practices.

  • Integration Best Practices - Consume PayPal & Venmo UX Integration best practices and translate into actionable Integration Guides across PPCP & BT platform and externalize it via Developer Experience.

  • Content Creation - Ensure clarity, technical accuracy, and alignment with overarching content architecture of documentation for PayPal and Braintree platforms by collaborating closely with technical writers and product managers.

  • Governance - Ensure that PayPal/Braintree Integrations comes across a cohesive and usable product even though internally the API & SDK product suite is built by disparate teams across various the organization.

  • Adoption - Ensure that new API & SDKs, Integration Patterns, Best Practices are understood by the internal cross-functional teams for both managed and self-serve integration.

  • Advocacy and Outreach - Highlight/Socialize APIs & SDKs built by merchant integrations team through presentations, workshops, blogs both internally and externally.

  • Product Feedback & Improvement - Gain an "outside-in" perspective by speaking with a cross-section of developers and/or internal client facing teams with a goal to build a case to continuously evolve the API & SDK interfaces

  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Although you will not be tied to a single set of engineers you will work with key technical architects and product managers to deliver on the above.

What you need to bring:

  • 8 years of product management or other relevant experience (e.g. solution architect, software engineer) with REST APIs and Web SDKs / Mobile SDKs.

  • Highly technical that combines broad expertise across the company - sales, professional services, developer experience, product.

  • Positive, Can-Do attitude with a focus on not only highlighting the "problem" but driving the "solution" of it as needed.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience (developers, product managers and senior business leaders)

  • Bonus: Past Front-End/Back End Engineer engineer familiar with web (JS/REACT) and back end (API, Server SDKs)

  • We welcome experienced engineers, solution engineers, architects, professional services and others with experience in APIs and/or SDKs looking to switch career into Product Management

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $99300 to $216040
