The Clerk I-S- Middle School is responsible for providing clerical support to the school and the School Administration. The Clerk I-S reports directly to the School Principal. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:May act as a receptionist for visitors, students, faculty, and staff as neededResponsible for responding to phone calls for the school and forwarding calls to appropriate individuals and departments Responsible for responding to intercom calls Responsible for responding and greeting in a pleasant manner to visitors to the school and following security procedures of the school departmentResponsible for providing support to other clerks or administrative staff in the building as well as backing them up as neededResponsible for maintaining student information and attendance; processing tardy and dismissals notes and verifying students absence via phone.Enters all attendance information and generate a daily attendance reportProvide student information for all faculty, staff, and different organizations following appropriate proceduresResponsible for the documentation of student discipline and suspensions and the distribution of the letters to parents/guardians of student as directedResponsible for sorting and distributing all mailAs directed, responsible for providing faculty/staff listAssist with locker assignments, locker checks for cuts and passes to custodianAs directed, prepare monthly reportsResponsible for maintaining student data in the student management systemMaintains and distributes instructional supplies to faculty and staff on requestMaintain call list of parents who call out their ill child, etc.Ability to perform other related duties as assigned in order to meet the specific needs of the Pawtucket School Department and its students.
