Paws of the Rockies Animal Hospital has been caring for patients since 2001 and we have continued to grow every year since. We are currently looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist or assistant to join our front-of- house team. Your role as a first point of contact is paramount to setting the tone for what clients can expect. Your ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, understanding, and supportive manner is vital. The knowledge you share will help clients feel confident in the care they choose for their pets. Your interaction with patients will demonstrate your passion for the veterinary field and further emphasize your dedication to quality and compassionate pet care.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Interacting with and assisting clients and their pets in a friendly and kind manner
Handling client communications in person, over the phone and through email
Documenting medical records in a detailed and efficient manner
Accurately reviewing and preparing medical records
Scheduling, maintaining and managing appointments
Explaining medical recommendations, medications, vaccinations, and diagnostics
Safely and effectively restraining patients for examinations and diagnostics
Inputting charges, processing transactions and explaining invoices
Daily payment reconciliation
And other duties as requested
Requirements:
Minimum of two years veterinary experience or equivalent education and experience
Knowledge and confidence in administrative duties, client communication, and exceptional customer service
General cashier experience (receiving payments, issuing receipts, processing refunds and keeping track of transactions)
Workplace attendance and punctuality
Experience with eVet practice software, animal specimen preparation, venipuncture, radiology, and anesthesia is a plus.
