Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is Hiring a Certified Veterinary Technician Near Troutdale, OR

Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is a flexible full-time or part-time role with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate:

  • Current CVT license and 3 years of current, hands-on veterinary experience
  • Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
  • Self-starters who can move quickly from task to task, while still paying close attention to detail
  • Personable and professional individuals who enjoy connecting with clients as well as the team
  • Impromed experience is a plus!

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Gentle patient handling and restraint
  • Venipuncture and placing IV catheters
  • Administering medications and injections
  • Outpatient procedures
  • Anesthetic induction and monitoring
  • Surgical prep and assistance
  • Dental prophy and radiographs
  • Pharmacy and laboratory duties

Full-time benefits and compensation:

  • Compensation: $24 - $28/hour (based on experience and skillset)
  • CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter

Our 3-doctor team has over 80 years of combined experience and is supported by a talented support team, including multiple CVTs. While we primarily see small animals, our team is also well-equipped to treat exotic pets likes birds and small mammals. Our team has excellent longevity and multiple team members have been with us for more than 10 years! We’re currently open Monday-Friday and typically have 2-doctor days.
