Paw and Purr Surgical and Dental Care is Hiring a Veterinary Technician Near Fishers, IN

Job Overview:
If you are a Registered Veterinary Technician who is passionate about surgery and dentistry, providing high-quality care, and looking for your furrever work home come join our team! This position requires expertise in anesthetic monitoring, surgical preparation, animal care, handling, and client education. If you are passionate about animals and have the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Placing IV catheters and intubating patients
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and blood work
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery
- Perform dental x-rays, scaling, and polishing
- Discuss treatment plans, anesthetic forms, and discharge information/medication with clients
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Clean and sanitize equipment and exam rooms

Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficient in X-ray imaging
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic complications and comfort in maintaining patient anesthesia
- Experience in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry
- Ability to perform intravenous catheterization and phlebotomy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

We offer competitive compensation based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
