Pavilion of Logan Square is Hiring an Activity Aide Near Chicago, IL

Activity Aide

Under the supervision of the Activity Director, the Activity Aide assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, physical, emotional and psychosocial programs in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Activity Aide Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet the functional levels, needs and interests of each resident.
  • Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
  • Maintains good rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
  • Provides input to the assessment and evaluation of the resident’s participation when requested.
  • Communicates a resident’s concerns and responses to interventions to immediate supervisor.
  • Supports a resident’s individual needs, preferences, customary routines and choices.
  • Other duties as assigned by Activity Director.

Activity Aide Education and Experience Requirements:

  • The Activity Aide needs to have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preference for someone with previous experience as an Activity Aide
  • Preference for someone with at least one year of experience in a health care setting
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Activity Aide Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to move items of at least 15 pounds
  • Must be able to propel resident in a wheelchair
  • Must be able to assist residents in evacuating the building in an emergency
