Paulding County Board of Education - Teacher/Head Swim Coach
Knowledge and Duties:
· Ability to manage Athletic Budget
· Ability to manage/lead Athletic staff
· Build teamwork/leadership capacity in student athletes

Primary Function: Ability to provide instruction, assessing and encouraging student progress. Ability to manage the learning environment, complying with state and district level regulations and policies. |

Qualifications:
*A valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Professional Standard Commission *Relevant coaching experience |
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

Teach at an appropriate instructional level |
Provide content development |
Assist all students in achieving academic standards and establishing high expectations for performance |
Promote student engagement and provide appropriate assessments |
Monitor student progress |
Respond to adequate and inadequate student performance |
Support students with encouragement |
Use time efficiently |
Maintain effective physical setting for instruction |
Maintain appropriate student behavior in the classroom |
Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues |
Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia, as established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission |
Integrate the use of technology and multi-media in the classroom |
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position |
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner |
Participate in training programs and apply concepts learned in the classroom to increase student learning |
Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities |
Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures |
Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies |
Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee |
