Job DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Project Managers will have total project responsibility for job costs, quality of workmanship, jobsite safety, procurement of materials, and the scheduling and coordination of our personnel and subcontractors to insure timely project completion. They will be thoroughly familiar with the procedures outlined in the Best Practices for Project Managers Manual and will utilize those practices in the performance of their daily activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand, prepare and execute project scope in strict accordance with contract, specifications and plans.
  • Creating the financial budgets to be used for labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, travel and other costs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HCC’s accounting and document management systems.
  • Procure and arrange delivery for materials and equipment.
  • Written communication and documentation, and timely status reporting to the customer, and to HCC upper management
  • Recognition of and reaction to situations that present increased risk to HCC’s interests. This includes revision to the current plan as necessary when needed to reduce or eliminate that increased risk.
  • Coordination with the Project Superintendent to maintain the project schedule.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and forecasting the job expenditures to ensure budget targets are met and cost projections are accurate.
  • Provide accurate input about their projects for the Monthly Billing Projection report
  • Review and respond to change order requests.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and be the HCC representative in client relations.
  • Be on the jobsite frequently to observe and to provide assistance and be a resource to the crew.
  • Provide information to the project superintendents that will improve their ability to succeed.
  • Oversee all project administrative activities up to and including contract review, change orders, subcontracts, accurate expense costing, applications for payment, and project reporting.
  • Effectively closeout project according to customer requirements.
  • Communicates and co-ordinates with pre-construction about estimates and tech support.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years working experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school degree
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
