Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring efficient project planning. If you have experience in construction estimating and possess strong analytical and negotiation skills, we would love to hear from you.
The Construction Estimator inspects damaged property and prepares estimates for repairs by working with the insurance claim representatives and property owner(s) to obtain agreement on the scope and cost of repairs for homes or businesses that have been damaged by fire, water, storms or mold.
This position requires the ability to manage your time efficiently, strong people skills, attention to detail, computer skills and a strong work ethic. The individual must work as part of a team to ensure good customer service while meeting a budget. New home and/or remodeling experience is a strong plus. Experience with Xactimate and/or Symbility estimating systems is desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and Project Managers to create estimates
- Utilize software such as Xactimate and Symbility to create comprehensive estimates
- Assist in the preparation of contracts and change orders
- Provide support during the project management process as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Xactimate and/or Symbility
- Familiarity with construction management processes and procedures
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Solid understanding of cost control measures in construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
