Paul Davis Restoration of Idaho is Hiring a Contents Technician Near Meridian, ID

The Contents Technician delivers exceptional customer care through emergency and restoration services. The technician is an initial responder to homes and businesses experiencing property and contents damage. This person has a passion for creating calm out of chaos and does so in less-than-ideal conditions. As a contents technician, the individual spends time on-site; assessing, organizing, inventorying, packaging and moving contents to the Paul Davis contents facility. Technicians also help with structural cleaning of the building. Once at the contents facility, contents are cleaned following industry approved cleaning processes and standards. Upon cleaning, the contents team prepares for the contents pack-back and celebrates in returning the customers once affected items.

Essential Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Professionally represent the Paul Davis principles of honesty and integrity
  • Perform under the direction of the Contents Manager
  • Respond to emergency losses
  • Participate in the setting up of workstations at the job site
  • Ability to identify non-restorable items from restorable items while on the job site
  • Manage the gathering and sorting of inventory on the job site in preparation for the pack-out affected items
  • Follow Paul Davis standard processes to clean and process affected contents at the Company's contents facility
  • Proficient use of the applicable cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Organize and repackage cleaned contents in preparation for pack-back
  • Proactive communicate with all team members
  • Attention to details in a clean job site resulting in leaving the job better than when you arrived on-site
  • Under the manager's direction, inventory and re-stock chemicals and supplies at the Company's contents facility
  • Ensure contents kits are stocked and ready to mobilize at any time
  • Ensure a secure and safe job site
  • Able to work around a variety of chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity

Performance Standards:

  • Documentation of all work processes and policies
  • Work performance in accordance with the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which Paul Davis Restoration operates
  • All work will be performed according to company policies, and up to Paul Davis Restoration standards
  • All work will be performed in accordance with OSHA safety regulations pertaining to this work
  • Customers will be treated in a courteous and professional manner. All communication with customers will be informative and courteous
  • Employees ALWAYS "displaying our brand with pride", by wearing furnished company uniform and ensuring uniforms are kept in good condition
  • Employees will behave in a professional and mature manner when representing this company. (NO profanity, NO smoking NO horseplay, etc.)
  • All job-related documentation will be brought up to date daily and placed in the proper location according to the next action to be taken
  • Company facilities, vehicles and equipment will be kept neat, clean, and in working order at all times
  • Must have basic computer skills, as well as the ability to use a smartphone and IPAD/Tablet to input data and make reports
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal to interact with internal team members, adjusters (as needed) and all other job stakeholders
  • Ability to provide job scope and effectively communication to internal customers
  • Thoroughly track job supplies and materials for expense management and billing purposes

Essential Skills & Documents:

  • Prior knowledge of cleaning assemblies/practices
  • Confident in leading teams and processes
  • Capable decision maker
  • Fast learner of processes and expectations
  • IT skills - computer, iPad & mobile phone applications
  • High school graduation/equivalent (i.e., GED, etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • No felony criminal history

Examples of Assigned Work Areas: Multi-story homes and businesses including attics, basements and crawl spaces. Strength requires the ability to exert force 20 - 100 lbs. frequently or 10 - 40 lbs. constantly. May involve significant standing/walking/crouching/pushing and or pulling.

Physical Demands: Frequent bending over, crouching, handling, smelling and hearing. Ability to use proper lifting techniques while lifting and moving contents boxes <30.
