Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Clinical Lab Supervisor to oversee the technical operations of a specific laboratory section in Macon, GA. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to section policies and procedures while supporting the Lab Director/Manager.
Essential Functions
- Manage quality, efficiency, and safety in the section, ensuring compliance with CAP standards.
- Communicate section deficiencies, progress of test development, and unusual occurrences to leadership.
- Review laboratory reports for accuracy before reporting to the medical record.
- Maintain an adequate supply of materials in the section and participate in cost analysis of tests.
- Assign schedules and work for the section, delegating authority and responsibility as appropriate.
- Function as a bench technologist, assisting with workload when needed.
- Work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Work in an area containing biohazardous materials and various hazards.
- Certification in MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP), or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in the specific laboratory section is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Competitive salary and bonus packages are negotiable.
