In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in our metal fabrication process, ensuring efficient production and top-notch quality.
Here's what you'll do:
  • CNC Programming Pro: Develop, maintain, and refine CNC Turret programs for steel, copper, and coil fabrication, optimizing production processes.
  • Material Efficiency Champion: Ensure responsible and efficient usage of programmed materials, minimizing waste and maximizing cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Craftsmanship Advocate: Support fabrication personnel in building high-quality products that meet market demands and customer expectations.
  • Process Improvement Guru: Analyze and recommend innovative techniques to improve existing CAM and internal software functionalities.
  • Material Maestro: Determine the most cost-effective material sizes for production, proposing alternative materials to engineering when suitable.
  • Troubleshooting Hero: Diagnose and resolve CNC programming issues to streamline production and minimize downtime.
  • Tooling Titan: Collaborate with engineering to select and recommend tooling purchases for new equipment, coordinating with the tooling department for acquisition.
  • Costing Collaborator: Provide accurate cost data to management to facilitate optimal product pricing strategies.
  • Design & Development Partner: Create and modify CAD files, working with engineering to identify design enhancements for cost reduction and improved production efficiency.
  • Product Development Problem-Solver: Assist in product development initiatives, focusing on cost reduction and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you'll need:
  • A one-year certificate from a college or technical school in a relevant field (e.g., machining, manufacturing technology).
  • A strong understanding of CNC programming principles and best practices.
