• Must be at least eighteen years of age and meet the requirements of the licensing agency.
• Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with Pat’s Christian Academy II.
• Minimum of one (1) year work of experience in preschool early childhood setting.

Preferred Criteria: College courses in Early Childhood Education. Two (2) years of work experience with infants Birth to Five (5) years old.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Supervise the classroom and activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Maintain a professional attitude with Pat’s Christian Academy Inc. II.
• Treats all children with dignity and with respect.
• Create and implement group and individualized lesson plans.
• Provided developmentally appropriate activities for before/ after care enrollees.
• Helps children establish good habits of personal hygiene; change diapers and assists with toilet training.
• Reports to Director any problem which may occur with the children.
• Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
• Attends all staff meetings and recommend training programs and conferences. Participates in recommended training programs, conferences, courses and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.
• Maintain attendance records.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

License or Other Requirements: Must have reliable transportation, must submit a pre-employment, physical examination, negative tuberculosis test and criminal background check. Employment is conditional relying a satisfactory results of all required test and background checks as mentioned above.
