JOB TITLE: Engineering Technician V
LOCATION: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME
SUPPORTING: SUBMEPP
JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time Service Contract Act (SCA)
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

COMPENSATION: This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position, and the hourly rate and health & welfare benefit is based on the applicable Wage Determination.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high school education or GED equivalent.
- Six (6) years of relevant submarine maintenance availability experience or two (2) years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree.
- Experience with submarine Maintenance & Availability Planning Programs.
- Experience with the M&SWP application, reports, and interfaces; and a familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite software, including Access, Word, and Outlook, and an intermediate level of understanding in MS Excel.
- Experience with the Navy database and system documents/specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting Work Package Managers (WPMs) in validating and processing Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) interface files to external Navy customers.
- Obtaining, analyzing, and processing Deficiency Management Tracking System (DTMS) files from Naval Shipyards, and uploading them into SUBMEPP's Maintenance & Ship Work Planning (MSWP) system.
- Developing and maintaining platform specific Life Cycle Charts (LCCs).
- Maintaining MSWP Submarine Availability & Milestone System (SAMS) data.
- Provide various M&SWP reports or other reports as required by SUBMEPP.
- Support TRIPER program with processing of quarterly reports, and attend meetings as requested, acting as transcriber.
