The General Accountant will be primarily responsible for lease accounting transaction cycles, as well as the related management reporting for Business Units within Patrick. While utilizing hands-on accounting experience and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the General Accountant performs complex accounting activities and financial analyses utilized by management to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Accounting Manager, Key Members at our Business Units and vendors, the General Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely accounting and reporting of lease transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies, ensuring that the information is correct and captured properly.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Manage and maintain lease accounting records for the Organization
• Maintain accurate records of all lease transactions
• Perform in-depth analysis and provide various lease reporting for leadership showing lease expense forecasting, historical spend reports, etc.
• Prepare footnote disclosure tables for leases as needed
• Develop a process to audit leases maintained by the Corporate Office by the Business Units
• Help maintain and record keeping of obsolete inventory
• Create journal entries for leases, prepaid rent, inventory obsolescence, and intangibles as part of the standard month end close process
• Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations pertaining to leases, prepaid rent, inventory obsolescence, intangibles, and others
• Assist with external and internal financial audit requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Must have an intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Experience with Lease Query (online software utilized for lease subledger) is desired
• Candidates should have a strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects independently, with minimal direction, and with solid follow through
• Strong ability to mediate complex cross functional issues and work with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Demonstrate high performance leadership standards and builds/develops high-performance
