We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent to drive excellence for multiple commercial building and multi family renovation projects spanning the Tidewater Region. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Construction project manager
• Communicate all extra work/change orders to Corporate Headquarters.
• Take ownership of the safety of crews and continually check for safety throughout the course of the project from start to closeout.
• Ensure that all forms and site training is performed
• Enforce quality standards and professionalism to eliminate paint failure, rework, safety hazards, and loss of production.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to field staff, promoting professional development and growth

Requirements for the Construction Superintendent :

• 2-4 years field experience in the Construction industry including renovation of multi-family facilities.
• Experience multiple subcontractors of various trades (Trim, Demo, Framing, Hardware Install, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schematics
• Understanding of the hazards, rules, laws, ordinances, and codes relevant to the construction industry and the necessary safety precautions related to the work.
• Can comprehend and understand these documents to determine the exact scope of work or changes to the scope of work.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Procore Construction Management app.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
