**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement. **Duties:** - Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe - Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount - Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary - Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances - Research and appeal denied claims - Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and patient information **Requirements:** - Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems - Experience in medical billing, collections, coding, and office procedures - Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid - Familiarity with medical billing software systems - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and insurance companies This position offers a competitive salary based on experience.
