Pathways to Life Inc. is Hiring a Group Home Program Manager (Jacksonville) Near Jacksonville, NC

We are seeking a talented individual who Shares our focus and dedication for those we serve and support. This is a role that is key for service delivery within our Group Home area and designed to truly make a difference in the lives of children that are served, improving the quality of life and connection to community. 

Program Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the group home, ensuring a structured and supportive environment for residents.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ensure the program meets all state licensing requirements and standards of care.

Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate group home staff, including residential counselors, case managers, and support staff.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes professional growth and effective teamwork.

  • Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

Resident Care:

  • Monitor and assess the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of residents.

  • Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities that promote the well-being and development of residents.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring the safety and stability of the group home environment.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each resident, including case notes, incident reports, and progress assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to regulatory agencies and funding sources.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with families, social workers, healthcare providers, and other external stakeholders.

  • Represent the group home in community meetings and events, advocating for the needs and interests of the residents.

  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a residential care setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience working with at-risk youth or individuals with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
