Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Peer Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and providing support in various behavioral health and crisis intervention situations. Candidates are between the ages of 20 and 30 years of age and willing to provide group counseling and education for male adolescents, teens and young adults.

Responsibilities:

- Engage with youth in a supportive and empathetic manner

- Provide peer support and mentorship to youth facing behavioral health challenges

- Assist in crisis management situations and provide appropriate interventions

- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior change

- Collaborate with other professionals in the field to create effective support systems for youth

Skills:

- Experience or knowledge in mental health and addiction counseling

- Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies

- Understanding of behavioral health principles

- Background in social work or related field

- Strong mentoring capabilities

- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively

- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques

- Knowledge of mental health counseling practices

- Willing to become a certified Peer Youth Support staff members and varies other behavioral health certifications.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
