Description

****Average salary is $66,414.40 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.)****

Schedules Available:

Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Tuesday thru Saturday 1pm to 10pm

Director, Residential Services

Pathway Family Services, LLC. provides resources for youth and families through their Independent Living Program, TRAIL (Teens Reaching Adult Independent Living), Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP), outpatient services and specialized foster care services.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in human service field.

Preferred licensable through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.

At least three years' experience in child and family services field required.

Valid driver's license

As the Director, Residential Services, you will manage the PFS Residential programs operated throughout Kansas toward its primary goals based on direction provided by management. Promotes the well-being of children and families served by Pathway Family Services, coordinates and/or facilitates staff meetings and trainings and coordinates with staff from other departments or agencies involved in the provision of services. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinates.

  • Responsible for achieving agency defined outcomes in regard to program utilization rates and adequate staffing for Independent Living Sites. 
  • Provides best practice standards through outcome reports and maintains updated procedures for staff assigned to PFS programs.
  • Ensures program documentation supports and maintains departmental protocols.
  • Ensures services are provided at a level to meet client needs.
  • Participates in the planning, programming and budgeting of the PFS Residential Services.
  • Participates in the development of short, intermediate and long-range plans and goals for the Pathway TRAIL and Foster Care Programs. Trains staff on outcome-oriented management strategies and management.
  • Writes and develops PFS Program Policies and Procedures to meet staff and youth needs.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with internal and external professionals involved in providing referrals for Pathway services. Encourages working relationships between residential staff and referral sources. 
  • Ensures required departmental training is scheduled, is available, and has occurred. Coordinates with the training department for assistance and coordination.
  • Assists in program expansion.
  • Ensures grant programs that fall under the Pathway Family Services Residential Programs are managed in accordance with grant and contract requirements and best practice standards.
  • Assures the Finance Department has all necessary information in order to bill for program services. 
  • Coordinates with intake/care management and other program staff on the referral clients. 
  • Ensures children and families receive timely services through the department. Works with human resources on recruitment of staff, as necessary.
  • Assures staff who work for the agency are meeting agency requirements as identified in policies and procedures.
  • Maintains oversight function of the department and when requested provides reports containing departmental information that has been put in a usable format.
  • Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote accurate and timely information flow.
  • Will be required to drive personal or agency vehicle while transporting children or conducting agency business. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.
  • Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
  • Provides regular supervision and professional development of Agency employees.
  • Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
  • Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
  • Assures program utilization is within budgeted standards set forth by the agency. 
  • Works with appropriate staff to create reports which guide Pathway PFS Program staff in achieving outcome-based goals.
