Qualifications: Pathstone is seeking an Associate with a minimum 2-4 years of experience as an administrative or executive assistant, preferably within the financial services/investment industry. Reentrants to the workforce welcome. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and strong organizational and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, coupled with understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are prerequisites.
Job Description: We are seeking an individual to join as an integrated member of a client advisory team. The applicant would join a two-to-four-person team providing investment and financial advice and coordination to wealthy families. Client teams develop investment policies for clients, which include recommending asset allocations, considering tax and estate issues, and proposing specific investments that have been vetted by Pathstone’s research department. In addition to participating in the investment policy process, teams address and coordinate answers for a host of financial questions including optimal financing, charitable gifting, budgeting, and financial education. Advisory teams play a key role alongside clients’ accountants and attorneys, and team members gain significant familiarity with the tax and legal issues of investors with significant wealth. Regular responsibilities for this position include opening accounts, transferring assets, placing trades, wiring funds, monitoring clients’ allocation and investments, responding to questions, and generating quarterly reports and meeting materials to communicate holdings and performance.
