Would you like to make a difference in someone's life? Do you enjoy creative thinking and supporting others in their home and in community settings? You will develop a close working relationship with a primary caregiver and support a young man in building skills and safety in his home and community.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform a variety of home and/or community based direct support duties to support an individual with autism and challenging behaviors in a caring way to promote their interests, energy, dignity, safety, health, welfare, rights, development, and social inclusion. Provide transportation to individual when needed.

POSITION AVAILABILITY: Consistent supports needed on weekday and/or weekend day hours in Longmeadow area. Your skill and reliability will assist primary caregiver and a young man with autism. Must have experience in supporting people with challenging behaviors. You will be a help and a guide in supporting a young man to engage in daily activities, and to promote skill building and safety both in home and in the community. Consistent attendance, reliability and good communication skills required. Must have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities & challenging behaviors.

HOURLY RATE: $25.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years or older
2. Valid Massachusetts driver's license
3. Reliable transportation
4. High school diploma or GED

1. Two supervisory references.
2. Driving record and CORI and Fingerprint check
3. 2 - 3 years of related individual support experience!
