Responsibilities :

• Personal Care : Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance : Provide support with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or vice versa, walking, and exercising.
• Medication Management : Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions.
• Meal Preparation : Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Housekeeping : Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
• Companionship : Engage in meaningful conversations, accompany on outings, and participate in recreational activities.
• Transportation : Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed.
• Monitoring Health : Keep track of any changes in health conditions and report concerns to appropriate medical professionals or family members.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration, vital signs, and daily activities.
• Emergency Response : Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including administering first aid and contacting emergency services if necessary.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in a similar live-in role, is often required.
• Certification : Certification in CPR and first aid is typically preferred.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to assist with lifting, bending, and other physical tasks associated with caregiving.
• Compassion : Empathy and patience in providing care and support to individuals with varying needs.
• Communication Skills : Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
• Flexibility : Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and needs of the client.
• Criminal Background Check : Often required to pass a criminal background check and provide references.
• Driver's License : A valid driver's license may be required for caregivers who need to provide transportation.
• Cultural Sensitivity : Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultures, especially if working with clients from different ethnic or religious backgrounds.
