We are seeking teachers who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods

About the Opportunity

  • Serve on the school administration team as the primary point of contact in developing plans to address barriers to full achievement of attendance, academic, and behavioral goals for students

  • May have a reduced caseload of students

  • Fill in as a substitute, or facilitate the coverage of duties for an Success Coach that is unavailable

  • Supervise the Success Coaches and manage team programming

  • Serves as a mentor and role model for staff

  • Oversee and support MTSS programming across middle and high school

  • Collaborates with the Principal, School Counselor, and other Admin staff as it pertains to student engagement and academic success.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for staff questions and escalations

  • Develop and implement PBIS program

  • Assists with monitoring of daily duties:

    • Delegating and communicating tasks to the team
    • Reminds team of deadlines
    • Confirms team members are meeting deadlines and provides assistance when needed
  • Monitoring staff workflow

  • Assists in the development of staff evaluations and collection of data and observations

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting data as directed by supervisor

  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Services, Related Field

  • 4 years of experience in the K-12 educational setting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products

  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality

  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic

  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations

  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated

  • Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently

  • Customer service oriented

  • Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members

  • Prior administrative assistance experience preferred

  • Prior experience working in a school setting preferred

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team

  • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
