As a Punch Press Set-up Operator (also known as Metal Stamping Operator, Punch Press Technician), you'll be responsible for setting up and operating punch press to punch and/or form metal stock. Your duties will include assembling, installing, and aligning dies in press according to specifications, setting machines for maximum production, sharpening dies and punches if needed, and ensuring quality control. You'll also train machine operators and direct their work, ensuring adherence to ISO9001 procedures.
