Path Behavioral Healthcare seeks an experienced active PLPC (Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor)

Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT)

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Certified Social Worker (CSW)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Location: Office

We have multiple job openings. The successful candidate will join a network of multiple outpatient sites in Lafayette, Opelousas and Slidell.

 and surrounding areas. Must live within 50 miles of your assigned office.

*********These behavioral health positions utilize a variety of direct behavioral health care skills in the provision of assessment and treatment intervention services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.***********

  • Provide direct services including Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST) and crisis intervention to recipients and their families in the MHR program.
  • Maintain mandatory record keeping and progress notes.

A Mental Health Professional or Specialist must meet the following requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  •  Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or very closely related Social Science field.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in child and adult mental health counseling; family functioning and development; and assessing risks, needs, and strengths
  • Identifying and understanding environmental stressors and coping mechanisms; and working with persons to resolve problems and prevent future crisis
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of youth, adult, and family counseling
  • Posses skills associated with the knowledge of principles and techniques of basic interviewing and assessment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to utilize a computer or phone to document information

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
  • Successful clearance of drug and TB test
