Job Description:

PATEL Infrastructure is seeking Transportation Construction Supervisors to join our CM/CI team for PennDOT projects in PennDOT District 5-0, specifically Berks County.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising field inspectors and conducting inspections on transportation projects involving roadways, bridges, or other improvements.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinating and communicating with contractors, designers, project stakeholders, and the public.
• Performing mathematical calculations based on field measurements.
• Observing material tests such as soil compaction, concrete, and asphalt, recording data, and test results in PennDOT's designated application.
• Generating concise daily field reports promptly, including photographic evidence, attaching relevant documents and sketches using PennDOT's PSA mobile app and/or ECMS. Additionally, reviewing and approving field reports submitted by other inspectors under the guidance of PennDOT or the IIC.
• Producing as-built drawings reflecting completed work.

Required Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year of PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI-3) or higher and possesses all three (3) certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, and NICET Level II Certification or higher in Highway Construction. Only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• Or minimum one (1) year of PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI-3) or higher and possesses NICET Level III Certification or higher in Highway Construction, along with either PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification or NECEPT Field Technician Certification.
• Or minimum four (4) years of PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI-3) or higher and possesses two (2) of the following three (3) certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, or NICET Level II Certification or higher in Highway Construction. Only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• Or minimum five (5) years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience and possesses all three (3) certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, and NICET Level III Certification OR NICET Level IV in Highway Construction. Only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
• Or minimum six (6) years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection supervision/management experience acceptable to the Department.
• Or holds an active Professional Engineer’s License.

Pay: $31.05 - $35.50 per hour
