Summary of Position: A Crew Member is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company standards, and processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently. A Crew member is required to be a bright, sincere, engaging, and energetic individual with a passion for exceptional customer service above and beyond that of other restaurants. The Crew member must also possess the ability to maintain order and provide high quality food quickly. 

Essential Duties:

1. Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, exemplary product knowledge and all other aspects of guest service.

1. Processes POS transactions accurately and adheres to proper cash handling procedures.

1. Maintains cleanliness of floors, tables, counters, and restrooms at all times.

1. Responds appropriately to guest concerns and communicates to management.

1. Works in cooperation with other Jersey Mike’s Team Members.

1. Slices product and prepares recipe according to Jersey Mike’s standards. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

1. Promotes Shore Point loyalty program to every customer to ensure sign-up objectives.

1. Abides by the established Jersey Mike’s uniform and grooming standards.

1. Completes phase 1 certification and Jersey Mike’s LMS training as directed by management.

1. Answers phones according to standards.

1. Maintains an awareness of all menu items.

1. Adheres to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

1. Cleans and maintain kitchen appliances such as, but not limited to griddles and slicers . 

1. Reaches, bends, and frequently lifts-up to 30 pounds. Works in a standing position for long periods of time.

This position reports to the Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, or General Manager of the individual store location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation and process payment transactions
• Ability to use knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment safely
• Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
• Ability to read and follow recipes in the manner in which they are written
• Ability to process information through POS system

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
