Job Description

As a food production employee you will be working on a fast moving production line.

This production line has several phases from placing the wrap and filling on the production conveyor to forming the egg rolls/Flautas and collecting them by hand at the end of the production line. Line workers need to develop skills and techniques to achieve desired speed, while following the Food and Employee Safety Programs and Guidelines of the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

General production worker to perform a variety of tasks in a food-manufacturing.

Operate with a sense of urgency-fast paced environment.

Develop skills and techniques to achieve desire speed.

Maintain tools and processing areas clean at all times.

Standing on your feet for entire shift at the production line.

Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions to supervisors.

Inspection of the goods produced.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

No previous experience required

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods is helpful.

Knowledge of arithmetic, reading and writing is needed.

Ability to be an independent thinker and find solutions to problems.

Ability to bring any food safety or quality issues to the shift supervisor attention.

Ability to work in a cold environment which can be noisy at times.

Requires bending, turning, walking and standing.

Capable of working on a routine job for extended periods of time.

Must be reliable and punctual.

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY

  • Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s
  • Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Production Manager or Supervisor, Q.A.
  • Department or Management.Attends Food Safety/Quality training sessions

Environment/Considerations

Moderate exposure to loud noises.

Cold, refrigerated room, 45 degrees in temperature

Standing on your feet for entire shift at the production line.

PPE will be required including gloves and glasses.
