NETWORKING SUPPORT TECHNICIAN


PassionHR is an HR consulting firm committed to serving our client's goals, which often involves business- to- business recruiting to hire, manage, and retain top-talent employees. PassionHR is currently seeking to hire a Networking Support Technician for a client in the Huntsville, AL area.

The hiring company was founded as an industrial, wireless Ethernet company focused on securely connecting difficult to reach edge network devices and quickly emerged as the market leader for networking solutions that combine Secure Wireless Ethernet, Network Segmentation for PCI, Centralized Active VLAN synchronization with cloud management and Digital Current Loop communications.

Position Summary

The Support Technician will be responsible for assisting customers with technical issues or questions relating to hardware or software devices. Their duties include taking phone calls from customers or communicating with them through messaging platforms, helping customers diagnose technical issues over the phone, and speaking with them about installing hardware.

Job Status: Temp-to-Hire Employee

Starting Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Hours:

Position I: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position II: Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Main Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers and end users.

Utilize basic networking knowledge of IT systems, including client LAN/WAN environments, private/public IP address space, DHCP, DNS, TCPIP

Fundamentals to provide this support include;

  • Fundamental troubleshooting
  • Track, monitor, and maintain requests, incidents, and escalations in the ticketing system.
  • Work with Engineering to maintain a knowledge base of issues reported.
  • Analyze recurrent issues and recommend fixes or report to developers for further investigation.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of technical experience
