Job Description

Preakness Healthcare is looking for a Hairstylist for it’s 406 bed facility.

Provides cosmetology – hairstyling services for residents of nursing home in hair salon or in resident room as clinically indicated.

• Cuts, trims, washes, combs, and styles hair.
• May bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush.
• Escorts/transports individuals to and from the hair salon.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Follows established procedures to promote public health and prevent the spreading of disease.
• Cleans the chairs, clippers, combs, scissors, razors, and other instruments; sterilizes all instruments and tools of

• Maintains essential records and files.
• Ability to adhere to state and facility regulations, policies and procedures pertaining cosmetology services.

Requirements:

Education: Valid license as a Cosmetologist-Hairstylist issued by the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology and
Hairstyling

Experience: N/A

Note: Hours:10 am to 5 pm, Mon. – Fri., Part-time, 35 hr/week

License:Possession of a valid license as a Cosmetologist-Hairstylist, issued by the New Jersey Board of
Cosmetology and Hairstyling. Also, possess a New Jersey Driver’s License
