A Japanese financial company in NYC is seeking a data analyst who will be reading and analyzing financial data, creating visual models to represent possible outcomes and preparing reports about business decisions. This will include leading credit risk and portfolio data analytics and reporting effort.
The ideal candidate has more than two years of hands on experience with data, data analysis and data manipulation in the finance industry. Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or business related major is preferred/ Advanced skills in MS Excel & Access, Python, and SQL.
Proficient Japanese language skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Develop and implement data entry and management strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and improve data quality.
- Aggregate and compile business data based on requests from senior leadership with a focus on risk assessment, credit quality trending, market segment opportunities and business development.
- Create reports, dashboards, and other visualizations on data associated with customers, business processes, market economics, and more to provide insights to senior management and business leaders in support of decision-making efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science or business related major is preferred.
- More than two years of data analysis experience
- Hands on experience with data, data analysis and data manipulation.
- Advanced level of Microsoft office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Python, SQL
- Knowledge of statistical and database software and coding.
- Proficient Japanese language skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
