We are recruiting for enthusiastic, energetic, and personable Assistant Sales Manager to join the team in IN!

The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for supporting and managing key customer accounts, and expanding new sales and business opportunities.


Title: Assistant Sales Manager

Location: Frankfort, IN

Salary: $75K~ (DOE)

Benefit: Health, Vision, 401K and Dental


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high-level of satisfaction with key decision-makers at a group of existing and prospective customer accounts.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the company and key customers. Respond to a range of inquiries. Communicate/negotiate with customers on delivery issues and status.
  • Develop and implement business plans and forecasts for new and prospective customers. Coordinate new quote activity at all stages of the process.
  • Identify, initiate and lead effort to obtain improved pricing in line with the market.
  • Manage new business launches with design, production control, quality, product engineering teams while satisfying customer requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance business relationships with customers and plants to develop schedules, negotiate price and ensure on-time delivery of parts.
  • Monitor schedules to meet customer needs. Communicate customer requests/requirements to others, including production, quality, manufacturing, etc.
  • Attend customer meetings and conferences. Prepare materials and present to groups that include customer corporate managers and executives.
  • Travel to global and customer facilities for site visits and business negotiations.
  • Manage the forecasting of sales volumes on a monthly and budget cycle basis.
  • Find solutions to meet customer delivery schedules, overcoming issues with plant capacity, long product lead-times and incomplete forecasts from customers.

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Excellent project management, sales and time management skills.
  • Highly-developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Outgoing and articulate; comfortable in social settings.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Japanese language skill is welcomed but not a requirement.

Acquired Knowledge:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or a related field of study.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales, marketing, account management, or similar experience in the automotive supplier industry.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
