Position: Jr Staff Accountant
Location: San Jose, CA
Status: Full time employee
Salary: Up to $70k
Job Descriptions
1.Vendor Invoice processing (including tax payments)
- Receive, process and post the vendor invoices in the ERP system
- Process due invoices for payments in timely manner
- Maintain the vendor invoices and payment records electronically
- Create vendor master record in the system per request through SharePoint
- Prepare the list of the vendor payment records to CPA firm for the 1099 return
- Assist managers for AP related matters and projects
2.Cash application
- Apply payments received by check (lockbox), ACH and wires daily to customers’ accounts
- Maintain the supporting documents electronically
- Assist managers for AR related matters and projects
3.Employee expense review
- Review, audit employees’ expense reports and process the payment through Concur weekly
- Post the expense records in the system
- Assist managers for employee expenses related matters and projects
4.Month end closing
- Post the pre-scheduled/defined journal entries for AP/AR related adjustment and accruals in ERP system
5.Administrative work for some Ad-Hoc and projects
- Assist managers and auditors per request
Qualification:
Bachelor degree in accounting/business or three to four years related experience for ARAP processing, Ability to pay attention to detail, prioritize work assignments and be flexible in changing environment. Proficiency in Excel, SAP or similar ERP experience. Good communication skills writing and verbally in English, and Team player. Skill of Japanese speaking/writing is plus.
