Job Description:

We are currently seeking a MongoDB Specialist/SME - Database Administrator to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and play a critical role in optimizing the performance of MongoDB databases. The ideal candidate will have expert-level hands-on experience with MongoDB, along with proficiency in performance tuning and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize expert-level hands-on experience with MongoDB to optimize database performance and efficiency.
• Conduct performance tuning activities to identify and address bottlenecks, improve query performance, and enhance overall database performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities to improve MongoDB performance.
• Engage with stakeholders and business users to gather feedback and insights on MongoDB performance issues and opportunities.
• Develop and implement recommendations to improve MongoDB performance, including configuration changes, index optimization, and query optimization.
• Work closely with the team to implement performance enhancements and monitor the impact on database performance.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on MongoDB best practices, performance tuning techniques, and database administration tasks.
• Collaborate with other database administrators and engineers to ensure consistency and best practices across database platforms.
• Document performance tuning activities, recommendations, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with MongoDB at an expert level.
• Proficiency in performance tuning techniques for MongoDB databases.
• High-level knowledge of MongoDB architecture, features, and capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database performance issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
• Experience with other database technologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Certification or training in MongoDB or database administration.
• Familiarity with cloud database services and platforms.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
