Pascal Crisis Services, Inc. is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Crownsville, MD

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our behavioral health agency. As a Nurse Practitioner in our team, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various mental health and substance use disorders. The Nurse Practitioner requires an advanced level of competency in nursing through additional education or training as well as a Nurse Practitioners license and prescriptive privileges. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Psychiatrist in conjunction with the Clinical Director who review work routinely.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure in good standing in the state of Maryland as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • NOT excluded from participation in Federal health care programs.
  • Must have prescriptive privileges.
  • Active DEA registration and an active MA provider number if applicable.
  • Certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing (PMHNP-BC) is preferred.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain active professional liability insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must come on-site to Crisis Stabilization Center to see patients (no telehealth).
  • Must abide by all agency policies, especially regarding medication and prescribing practices.
  • Must work closely and communicate regularly with Clinical Director on all patient cases to ensure alignment with prescribed treatments and avoid any disruptions to patient placement.
  • Obtain and record client’s health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social, and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
  • Diagnoses, treats, and plans appropriate health care for clients in the area of mental health.
  • Provides and prescribes medications within area of specialty.
  • Monitor and manage medication regimens, including adjustments as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains client’s electronic medical records and other necessary records.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in mental health care through continuing education and training.
  • Conduct monthly peer reviews on other prescribers at the agency.
  • Complete all job duties in accordance with CARF standards.
  • Performs other nursing duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in mental health or psychiatric nursing is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
