Each team member plays a vital role in our success. We are rapidly growing and looking for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Inventory Manager.

Responsibilities

Parts Authority, LLC. Is hiring an Inventory Manager who will be responsible for all of the aspects of warehousing and distribution in our warehouse located in Hanover Maryland. The Inventory Warehouse Manager should have knowledge and/or experience in inventory software systems and order processing.

This person is responsible for helping: plan, guide, and develop team members and team leads and Supervisors in an efficient and timely manner to meet the daily inventory replenishment demands, meet efficiency expectations, handle administration duties, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and training with all team members.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Maintain a high level of inventory productivity and efficiency
• Advises and supervises the inventory process to meet customer expectations.
• Mains the Inventory in an effective and efficient manner.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of inventory reconciliation and control associates
• Ensures the inventory associates are capable of safely operate material handling equipment to move materials 
• Develops Supervisors and crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
• Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish shipping missions in a safe, effective manner.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies with zero'd product and skipped product. 
• Supervises the flow of paperwork from inventory controls to shipping for timely data entry.
• Assisting in the training of new associates
• Maintaining excellent cross-functional and interdepartmental communication
• Assist receiving and inventory supervisors to help navigate and prioritize incoming products.
• Monitor systems and emails frequently to ensure customer happiness
• Keep work areas clean and clear of safety hazards
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Staff Management:

• Leads and develops inventory associates and supervisors 
• Counsels, records and mentors associates as vital.

Supervise Operations: 

• Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
• Maintain 5S warehouse principles are coordinated and followed on a routine basis

Qualifications

Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Flexible to work weekends.
• 2-3 years hands on management experience required.
• 1 years inventory experience.
• Supervisory experience, team building.
• Experience with WMS/ inventory management system and RF technology.
• Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to sophisticated order flow fluctuations as needed
• Knowledge of LEAN principles, continuous improvement, and process development. 
• Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively act to get back on track
• Experience in supervising metrics, including key performance indicators such as team member efficiency.
• Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
• Must possess outstanding customer relations skills
• Strong skills and experience in team/personnel management
• Validated strive to achieve results
• Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
• Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc)

Technical Skills

• Experience with RF technology, conveyor technology, and shipping software.
• Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and other reports using PowerPoint, Excel (V-Lookups) and Word.
• Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and high volume, time critical distribution required.
• Forklift, Hazmat and OSHA Certifications preferred, required upon hire
• High School Diploma required
