Overview

The Senior SharePoint Administrator will work in a team environment using multiple technologiesand common platforms and will be the lead in designing and developing Microsoft SharePointsolutions within the PHC infrastructure. The Senior SharePoint Administrator will work with thePHC staff and the Manager of Web Applications Development to design, develop, implement,customize, and maintain all SharePoint solutions. The Senior SharePoint Administrator will alsobe the primary contact on the administration of all SharePoint servers. The Senior SharePointAdministrator will work on projects ofall sizes and provide deep functional and technical expertiserelated to solution offerings to support PHC objectives.

Responsibilities

Administration (25%):

  • Responsible for managing SharePoint Farm, Central Administration and Health of SharePointFarm.
  • Responsible for Installing, configuring, backup, restore, maintain, and troubleshootSharePoint Server in production and test environments.
  • Work with key stakeholders to design SharePoint security model for the entire SharePointimplementation.
  • Work closely with manager and lead SharePoint solution initiatives.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new SharePoint initiatives. This includesinterfacing SharePoint to new products, third-party solutions, and all enterprise applicationsystems.
  • Responsible for continuously monitoring the SharePoint Farm and keep up with securitypatches, Service Packs, and upgrades.
  • Download and install security patches and updates for the SharePoint Server when releasedby Microsoft.
  • Responsible for managing system operations and services.
  • Responsible for Server Migrations and Office 365 Implementation.
  • Oversee SQL Server Database that supports SharePoint.

Development (50%):

  • Responsible for design and development of SharePoint sites and publishing portals.
  • Responsible for developing and supporting SharePoint sites and applications.
  • Responsible for Implementing Office 365 for Publishing sites and new features.
  • Responsible for developing custom workflows using .NET, InfoPath, and SharePointdesigner and Nintex platform.
  • Configure key features Custom Site, project templates, Search, BCS, InfoPath, PublishingPortals and MySites.
  • Design and develop custom solutions using technologies ASP.NET, C#, SharePointDesigner, Javascript, and JQuery.
  • Responsible for designing and developing sites, site collections, lists and libraries, andimplement archiving, content expiration, and governing sites, lists, and libraries.
  • Responsible for building custom dashboards using Performance Point/Microsoft ExcelServices.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the entire intranet and internet infrastructureat PHC andorganizing content as directed by PHC management and staff.

Implementation (25%):

  • Act as SharePoint subject matter expert and utilize this knowledge to mentor and coach keystakeholders in each department to manage the content.
  • Lead SharePoint Production Support.
  • Enforce best practices and conduct trainings with end-users.
  • Provide day-to-day support of the Microsoft SharePoint Server across all departments andtheir associated configuration.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must provide and carry a cell phone and be available for consult or assistance when needed24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business related field isrequired. Five plus (5 ) years of experience with the administration ofMicrosoft SharePoint with configuration, development, and support. Five(5 ) years of experience in creating custom workflows using ASP.NET,SharePoint, and InfoPath. Six (6) years of experience with designing,developing, testing, and supporting web applications using ASP,ASP.NET, TFS, telerik, ADO.NET, JQuery, and AJAX. Six (6) years ofexperience customizing SharePoint using SharePoint Designer andASP.NET. Experience with defining and executing SharePointgovernance. Experience with gathering functional requirements anddealing with the functional and technical users of a system. Ability tocreate design documentation. Ability to troubleshoot SharePoint issues.Experience with SQL Server database and transactional SQLprogramming. Experience with applications development life cycle.Knowledge of Business Objects and Tableau is a plus. Trainingexperience is a plus.

Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications

Microsoft MCTS with SharePoint is highly desired. Excellent interpersonalskills are required and the ability to articulate technical concepts andunderstand business stakeholder need is required.

Performance Based Competencies

Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret andunderstand technical requirements. Excellent analytical skills totroubleshoot and resolve systems problems.

Work Environment And Physical Demands

More than 80% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. Maybe required to lift, carry, or move equipment of varying size, weighing upto 50 lbs. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in othernon-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systemshardware, and other related equipment.

Hiring Range: 

$115,599.62 - $150,129.37
