PATIENT CARE ASSOCIATE / 36 HOURS /NIGHTS / BWH- 9CD

You are eligible to receive a $750 sign-on bonus, less applicable deductions and withholdings, provided that you (a) successfully complete your first 90 days of employment, (b) do not resign prior to payment of the sign-on bonus, and (c) remain a full-time employee in good standing through the date on which the sign-on bonus is paid. "Good standing," for purposes of this sign-on bonus, means that you have not (a) received any form of progressive discipline, or (b) informed MGB of your intent to resign from employment. MGB shall pay you the sign-on bonus within 30 days after your 90-day anniversary.

The PCA will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the RN with clinical tasks, including, but not limited to glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs.
  • Responding to the needs of patients and family members and takes a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.
QualificationsTo qualify you must have:
  • Certification as a nursing assistant requiredupon hire, unless incumbent is a nursing student who has completed her/hisfundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation orsimulation lab). For nursing students hired as PCAs, strongly prefer nursingstudents enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry Masters' programs.
  • Bi-lingual skills preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical settingpreferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
