Partners in Child Development is Hiring a Social Worker Near Lawrence, MA

Our Early Intervention program serves a remarkable 95% of all Greater Lawrence children who are referred to our Early Intervention services!

All new hires participate in a paid onboarding program learning how Early Intervention helps children and families in a home-based setting or at our childcare center. As a member of a cross-functional team you will establish supportive working relationships, participate in personal development and mentoring programs, as well as create your own flexible work schedule.

The Job:

The Social Worker (Family Worker) as as a member of a multi-disciplinary team working in Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover and Andover provides in-home and childcare center EI services for children ages 0-3 who have or are at risk for developmental delays or have a diagnosed disability. The Social Worker (Family Worker) provides therapeutic support addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges for the child and family. Assesses risk factors such as parental mental illness, substance abuse, domestic and/or community violence. This position participates in evaluations, interventions, and development of the Individual Family Service plan (IFSP) for children and their families.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree required. Must hold MA current licensure as a LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC. or LMFT or LMHC license-eligible with proof of license eligibility.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pediatric setting working with children under the age of 5. Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental milestones and delays in children, as well as the impact of emotional, behavioral, and neurological disabilities on the child’s functioning and development.
  • Current, valid driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of insurance coverage for travel between home visits.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, empathy and compassion for children and families.
  • Sufficient computer and technical skills to complete position required documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, team members and other professionals.
  • Outstanding time management, organizational, problem solving and multi-tasking.
  • History of maintaining client confidentiality, professional boundaries, displaying integrity, and credibility.
