- Provides patient care alongside licensed staff members in patients' places of residence, including private homes and assisted living facilities.
- Takes direction from licensed staff members when providing patient care.
- Learns and uses safe lifting and patient mobility techniques for two-person care of patients.
- Delivers requested medication and supplies to patients as needed, with documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) if applicable.
- Uses agency-supplied technology including computer-based EMR and mobile phone for communication and documentation.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ideal candidates will possess six months’ employment experience in caregiving in private homes or facilities.
- Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.
- Current automobile insurance required. A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Valid CPR certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
