Partners Healthcare System is Hiring a BFT Aspire Camp Staff - Curriculum Coordinator Near Boston, MA

Aspire is a growing nonprofit organization of the Massachusetts General Hospital. We offer a variety of high-quality therapeutic programs and services that focus on helping children with high cognitive autism spectrum disorders and related profiles develop increased self-awareness, social competency, and stress management skills.

The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for implementing Aspire's curriculum (i.e., social competency, stress management, and self-awareness) activity blocks into the Explorations Program. The Curriculum Coordinator leads specific program activities (i.e., mind/body and self-awareness groups) and works collaboratively with other leadership staff teaching the social competency activity blocks. Additionally, the Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with and providing consultation to other program staff about implementing curriculum into the program activities; and is responsible for providing consultation aimed to utilize the strengths of participants and support their participation in the program. The overall program is managed by the Explorations Program Manager. The Curriculum Coordinator is a leadership role that also includes leading: an all-staff training, weekly curriculum meeting, and coordinating ongoing summer training for program staff. The Curriculum Coordinator works on-site at the program location in Newton and in the community during program outings.

This is a 40 hour per week paid position for 6 program weeks that includes 40 hours of mandatory and paid training prior to the start of the program, along with mid-summer parent conferences. Pre-program and ongoing training and supervision is provided by experienced clinical staff. The Curriculum Coordinator is part of the summer leadership staff for the teen and adult programs; attendance at pre-program planning meetings is expected.

* Enrolled in, or graduate of, a Masters program.

* Prior experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders is required.

* Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

* Openness to receiving feedback on interactional skills with families, participants, and staff.

* Basic computer skills. MS Word required; knowledge of Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access helpful.

* Desire and ability to work in an outdoor setting

* Good basic math skills.

* Strong writing skills

* Ability to work independently and be flexible.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Problem-solving skills.

* Desire to help participants feel safe, succeed, and have fun.
