BUYER I (ONSITE)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement department provides purchasing services to the Northpointe manufacturing site and corporate/field operations for goods and services. Procurement converts purchase requisitions into purchase orders using the QAD ERP system. As necessary, Procurement personnel provide sourcing, bidding, and negotiation services for the end user departments. The Procurement department assists with vendor selection and is responsible for establishing and maintaining the vendor masters in QAD. As necessary, Procurement leads or facilitates contract negotiation with the goods and services providers.
This position is an ONSITE role requiring your presence 5 days per week at our Lynnwood, WA plant which is a cGMP production scale manufacturing facility for our product, Leukine® (sargramostim), a therapeutic glycoprotein. The Buyer I is required to work during core business hours as established by their People Leader.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Converts approved QAD Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders in QAD, obtains Procurement authorization signatures, and submits Purchase Orders to vendors.
- Collaborates with Requisitioners to resolve issues and clarify requests, ensuring compliance with company Procurement Policies (e.g., adequate supporting documentation and approval).
- Interfaces with vendors on PO acknowledgement, PO clarification (if needed), and delivery timeliness.
- Escalates issues to Sr. Buyer for resolution as needed.
- Scans and files Purchase Orders.
- Pulls and reports procurement volume and metric data per standard processes.
- Provides back-up coverage for GMP Raw Material Planner/Buyer.Procu
- Adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
- Successfully completes all mandatory Quality and Compliance training within required timeframes.

Required:

- Solid English language communication skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions. Comfortable actively participating in cross-functional meetings.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Word and Excel essential; ability and willingness to quickly adopt other job-specific applications will be necessary.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of the procurement process in QAD or other ERP system.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1 years of procurement experience.
- 1 years of computer system/data entry experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in relevant field.
- 2 years procurement experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
