SUMMARY

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (PE) in our Plano, Texas office supporting our geotechnical engineering practice. Our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role will be responsible for the following tasks outlined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing of Geotechnical Engineering Project Budget and Schedule
  • Responsible for supervision/oversight of field and laboratory sampling and testing
  • May require some field and laboratory work from time to time
  • Training of staff level personnel
  • Contracting/Negotiating of projects with vendors and clients
  • Project lead for Construction Materials Testing and Forensic Projects
  • Approving Vendor Invoices, Building T&M Invoices
  • Reviewing of Geologic Research/Geotechnical Reports by others
  • Geotechnical Report preparation and review
  • Review of lab and field data from others
  • Ensure on-time report delivery
  • Client interactions/Responses to RFI’s

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pertinent Engineering degree required
  • Professional Civil Engineer Certification in State of Texas required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Field work including hand-augers, infiltration tests, logging and sampling of soil borings, will be needed from time to time
  • Laboratory work, including lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving of soils and aggregate, etc. will be needed from time to time
