**Transportation Engineer I Infrastructure Atlanta, Georgia**

**OPPORTUNTIY:**

**Parsons Corporation** has an immediate opening in our **Atlanta office** for a **Transportation Engineer** to work with exciting and progressive civil **public works** projects with **various road, highway, multi modal, and transit projects**. You will perform both conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within this discipline. This role has a broad application to civil transportation projects, inclusive of a combination of geometric road & highway design, traffic engineering analysis, and possibly MOT scenarios design as well.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

* Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.

* Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses. Geometric alignments of highway system, or traffic analysis, inclusive of capacity analysis and volume forecasting.

* Provides support for various transportation infrastructure engineering activities as required.

* May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.

* Utilize various software such as Microstation, Synchro, Vissim, Autocad, and other software for various project assignments.

**REQUIREMENTS :**

4-year degree in **Civil Engineering (or related field) and 3 years or more with civil engineering work.** **Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is Highly Preferred.**

**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**:

Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
