Our team is looking for an experienced engineer with a software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a talented Agile engineering team supporting the development of a critical flight safety application for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations directorate. You will work with a cross functional team and a diverse community of external stakeholders to build, integrate and deliver mission critical space situational awareness capabilities. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 12 years technical experience. Additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree Experience conducting in-depth technical assessments of software systems and architectures Experience working on Agile software projects and familiarity with Agile concepts and best practices Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise application software Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques Java application development experience, specifically within microservice architectures Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly. Must be a US Citizen Desired Skills Experience leading cross-functional agile development teams to determine goals and priorities, plan sprints and deliver software capabilities Experience cultivating and maintaining positive relationships that engender trust and confidence with high level government customers Security Certification Existing or prior government security clearance is a plus Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
