Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging Center by managing patient records, coordinating appointments, and assisting with medical coding and billing.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records systems
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant coding standards (ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG)
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient visits and procedures
- Process insurance claims and verify insurance coverage for patients

- Obtain Insurance Authorizations from all major health insurance plans including BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred

- Preferably Bilingual
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
