General Description :
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, the primary function of the position is to prepare quality, wholesome foods for patients, café, and catered events.
The Cook must follow standardized recipes to insure accurate consistencies, maintain appropriate nutritional values and to assure the proper amounts are prepared.
All duties must follow a designated timeline in order to provide timely food products and meal services. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepares and cooks foods according to menu rotation and standardized recipes as well as verbal instructions and production sheets.
Batch cooks for freshness, as appropriate, and prepares accurate numbers of portions.
Follows clean as you go procedures. Completes all required HACCP temperature, leftover / waste and cooling logs throughout shift.
